Welcome back to the new academic year
Dear parents/carers,
Here is to a fantastic Autumn 2021!
We hope you had a great holiday and are ready to get back into the swing of things. As the new term starts, we will continue to make health and safety our priority.
Drop off/Pick up
For your safety, we recommend you continue to wear a face mask when dropping off/collecting your child/children.
We will continue to use the Balmoral gates for entry/exit. Please follow the one way system.
We will continue to have staggered timings, however have updated the timings. Please see below.

As we did last year, if you are late dropping or collecting your child please go to the Fredora entrance and ring the doorbell.
As there are now shorter gaps between each year group, family time will no longer be needed.
Please be patient with us whilst waiting to collect and drop off your child/children.
What to bring to school on my first day
- Be smartly dressed in your full school uniform
- Water bottle
- Packed lunch (optional)
- Drawstring/PE bag. No backpacks please
School will provide pencil cases so please do not bring one in.
Please ensure all uniform and belongings are labelled with your child’s name.
New Year 3 parents and pupils
- Thursday 2nd September start time is 8:30am.
- The year 3 teachers will be on the playground from 8:30-8:45, holding their class sign so the year 3 pupils can line up. They will escort their class into school.
- Your child will stay in the same class they were in during Year 2 however classes may be subject to change during the first half term.
- We will do our utmost to ensure that your child has a smooth transition from infant school to GPJS.
