Grange Park

Junior School

Striving to be the best that we can be

Welcome from the Headteacher

I believe that a junior school should be a happy and memorable experience that stays with you for life.  I still remember my junior school; it is where I learnt to read and write, develop confidence in my abilities and where the teachers helped me to discover my passion for writing, drama and a love of learning that has always stayed with me.

I want Grange Park Junior School to provide similar memories of school for all the children that attend. We are able do this because we have creative teachers who challenge and inspire our children. Together they work relentlessly to ensure that all our children achieve their full potential and are prepared for their journey into secondary school and beyond.  Each year our end of Keystage 2 Results (Year 6 SATs) are continually improving and we are proud of all that our children have achieved.

We celebrate creativity through our bespoke, topic based curriculum that includes many opportunities for children to learn about the rich history that our local area offers. We use computing, writing and mathematics to explore new ways of thinking and apply learning.  We make our learning memorable through visiting theatre companies, musicians, artists and authors and our trips to places of interest  so that all our children, whatever their ability, can experience the life-long memories that a junior school can offer.

When you walk into our school you will hear and see polite, happy children who are enthusiastic about their learning and developing the life skills they need to become the  'Leaders of Tomorrow.'

We are blessed to have a thriving community of parents and carers who support the school through annual events such as Parent Meetings, Charity themed days, School Discos, Our Year Six Production and Summer Sports Days.

Come and join our school community where we all ‘strive to be the best that we can be.’
