Striving to be the best that we can be

Year 3 2021-2022

Welcome to Year 3 2021-2022!

Firstly, thank you for your support in the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. It is a big step for the children, even more so due to the current situation, but it has been amazing to see how confident they have been. We look forward to watching them grow and develop even more as the year continues.

Year 3's PE days are Tuesday and Thursday

Children must wear their Grange Park Junior School PE kit to school on these days (blue PE t-shirt with the school logo, black shorts, GPJS jumper/cardigan and trainers). They will not need to bring their normal school uniform on these days.

All children should bring a labelled water bottle with them every day.

All jumpers/cardigans, coats and ties should be labelled with your child's name.

In Year 3, we use a creative curriculum to enhance the children’s learning and aid their transition into junior school. We endeavour to include aspects of English, Maths, History, Geography, Science, DT, Music, Art, RE and PSHE through our engaging and hands-on termly topics. The three topics that are covered in Year 3 are Rainforests, Dinosaurs through to the Iron Age and Ancient Egyptians. Please see the curriculum overview page for more information.

This page will be used to showcase the amazing work and activities that Year 3 are completing at school. We look forward to sharing it all with you. If you have any questions or feedback, please contact us through the office or speak to the class teachers at home time.

- Mrs Doohan (Year 3 leader), Miss Shanawar, Miss Telan, Mrs Chaubal & Miss Gordon.
