Willow
Willow Class have been working very hard since the start of year 3 and have continued to show our school values every day. I am extremely proud with the determination that the children demonstrated throughout the Spring term for our online learning. Everyone in Willow Class has shown such enthusiasm to being back inside the classroom.
In English, we have been developing our sentence structure to improve our writing even further. From writing diary entries, to now creating a set of instructions, it has been amazing to see the resilience in writing lessons. As a class we are continuing to work on editing and proof reading our work to ensure that all of our work makes sense.
In Maths, we have worked on the four operations, place value and money. We will be focusing on time, fractions, shapes and statistics and how this can be used in day to day life.
During the Spring term, all members of our class showed an amazing amount of interest in our science lessons learning about light. We planned investigations to explore how shadows appear as well as looking at the materials of different objects including translucent, transparent and opaque objects. Everyone in Willow Class enjoyed testing different objects around our classroom and worked well in a group to record their findings. We were also able to link our science work into our topic of the different ages (Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age). As a class, we created amazing cave drawings which we learnt from our lessons relating to prehistoric times.
Keep up the great work Willow Class!
