Student Leadership

Strive. Lead. Succeed.

At Grange Park School, we believe that children should have meaningful opportunities to take responsibility, develop confidence and make a positive contribution to school life.

Pupil leadership is an important part of our approach to personal development. We encourage children to share their ideas, represent others, demonstrate our school values and take an active role in improving their school and wider community.

Our leadership opportunities go beyond simply holding a title. Children help shape school decisions, organise activities, support their peers and represent Grange Park at events beyond the classroom.

Leadership in Action

Our pupils take on a range of responsibilities through five established leadership groups:

School Council – Representing classmates, contributing to school decisions and developing an understanding of democracy through experiences including visits to Parliament.

Well-Being Buddies – Supporting positive relationships, helping pupils during breaktimes and working alongside our pastoral team to promote well-being.

Sports Crew – Encouraging active lifestyles, organising playground activities and helping deliver sporting events and competitions.

Junior Travel Ambassadors – Promoting road safety, active travel and sustainable journeys to school, including participation in Transport for London initiatives.

Head Pupils – Representing the school, leading assemblies, welcoming visitors and contributing to whole-school decisions alongside senior leaders.

Developing Leaders for the Future

We believe leadership is about responsibility, service and making a positive difference.

Through these opportunities, children develop important skills in communication, teamwork, organisation, decision-making and problem-solving. They learn to listen to different perspectives, act as positive role models and recognise the importance of supporting others.

Our ambition is for pupils to leave Grange Park not only with strong academic foundations, but also with the confidence, character and sense of responsibility to make a positive contribution wherever their futures take them.
